Stay for lunch after the worship service and join one of these four-week classes:
Where Two or three Gather Prayer & Intercession Facilitated by Pastor Connie, Prashanth Y., Tony B., Jan A. | Our prayer leadership team is offering a course to learn about and practice praying together, with a focus on intercession. Intercession is praying on behalf of someone else with the authority that God gives us through Jesus by his Spirit. We will look at what intercessory prayer is, how hungering for God fuels us as we pray and how to hear from God, to pray in ways that reflect his heart and his purposes. We will exercise our muscles in intercession and pray for needs we see ‘here, there and everywhere’. Sign up for this class |
Making a Good Thing Better Facilitated by Pastor Richard & Laura M. | This class will look at the foundational practices for making a good thing better, including developing healthy communication, fighting for the marriage—not each other, redeeming the wounds, seeing marriage as a covenant instead of a contract, and learning the secret to true intimacy. Whether you have been married for 50 years or are newlyweds, this interactive class will bring renewed hope for an amazing marriage. Sign up for this class. |
Tough Questions for Youth & Young Adults Facilitated by Pastor Jamie | Do you have questions about the Christian faith or have you been asked questions that you don’t seem to know the answer to? Have a safe space to ask questions and practice building confidence in responding to questions about your faith. Sign up for this class |
Tools to Support Your Ministry: Equipping You as Ministry Leader Facilitated by Emily L. and Sandra W. | Are you a Ministry Leader and would like to be more familiar with the resources you have available to you? We’ll explore tools that can help you be more effective in your ministry work, from setting up your Glencairn email address and sign-up forms to using the church directory and photocopier; or, from submitting expenses to creating content and sharing your vision beyond your ministry team. You’ll have opportunities to try it out, so we encourage you to take notes and bring a laptop (or tablet) for the first three weeks if you have one. During the final week, a registered nurse will go over some basic first aid training, including how to use an AED so you can be equipped to respond in a medical emergency. Sign up for this class |
