Glencairn Church exists to reach up to God, reach in to each other, and reach out to the world God loves. Short overview of children & youth ministry.
Children are a huge value at Glencairn. We strive to offer fun, save and spiritually enriching environment for children of all ages.
What to expect during BLAST (Bible Learning and Spiritual Training)
BLAST is for children aged 2 to grade 5. Children start in the service during the worship time and are dismissed to their classes part-way through the service for their BLAST teaching time. In BLAST they learn Bible stories, sing songs, do crafts and learn that we are all God’s children.
We follow Plan-To-Protect guidelines. Please check-in your children age 0 to SK in their classroom, where you will receive a Parent Tag to be handed in when picking up your child after the service. If your children need you during the service we will come find you.
Loving arms are waiting to care for babies age 0-2. Nursery is available for the the duration of the service.
Our Junior Youth group, or as we call ourselves ‘Six Seventy-Eight’, is a group of grade 6, 7 and 8 students who are looking to learn more about themselves, each other and God. We are learning to support each other as well as the community around us.
Epoch is Glencairn’s Sr youth program for those in grades 9-12. Our mission is To provide youth with a fun and safe community where disciples are made and are encouraged to serve and grow in their faith. We generally meet every Friday night at the Church from 7-10pm for a time of hanging out, games, food, Bible study, and small groups.
Emerge is Glencairn’s young adults group. We meet every Sunday at 1pm at Jon and Laura Cleland’s house. We pray together, talk about how God is working in our lives, eat snacks, and play games. Emerge is an open and safe place for anyone who is curious or just wants to hang out. Contact Jon at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
