What is Bridges?
Bridges is a food bank and clothing program at Glencairn Church which provides non-perishable food items, fresh produce, and donated clothing for free to meet the growing needs of our community. The Bridges Centre is a member of the Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
When is it open?
The Bridges Centre is open from 9 AM to 1 PM, by appointment only, on the second and fourth Saturday of the month (except December when it is only open on the second Saturday). Each family group can visit the program once per month.
How do I request an appointment?
You can send an e-mail message or leave a voice message with your contact information and a preferred appointment time:
- E-mail bridges@glencairn.ca with your name
- Or, call 519-579-8741 ext. 4 and leave a message with your name and phone number
The volunteer team will review messages as quickly as possible and respond to confirm an appointment time with you. Bookings will only start 12 days before the first opening of each month.
When you visit to pick up food or clothing, please bring reusable shopping bags.

Where is it?
Bridges at Glencairn Church is located at 725 Erinbrook Drive in Kitchener and can be reached by bus routes #3 Ottawa, #12 Fairview, or #201 Conestoga. The church is a 15-minute walk from the Forest Glen terminal. View on Google Maps
Make a donation
Non-perishable food donations, gently-loved and clean clothing, and sealed personal hygiene products (including baby food and diapers) are welcome. Please drop off items at the church if you wish to donate any of these items. Call the church office (519-579-8741) or contact us to make sure someone is available to receive your donation. Please ensure non-perishable items have not expired before dropping them off.
