What is it?
The Bridges Centre is a place that provides non-perishable food and used clothing for free to meet the growing needs of our community.
When is it open?
Food Bank Program
The Glencairn Bridges program is open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., by appointment only, on the second and fourth Saturday of every month (except December when we are only open on the second Saturday). You can visit the program once per month.
To request an appointment, please send an e-mail message to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, or call 519-579-8741 ext. 4 and leave a message with your name and phone number. You can also indicate if you would prefer an early, mid, or late morning or early afternoon appointment time. We will return your message and offer the closest available time and confirm that this time is acceptable. Appointments can be booked starting at 12 days prior to the first
opening of each month.
Masks are required. If you are unable to or prefer not to wear a face mask, we will meet you at our front door and provide an alternative method for food selection and pick-up.
Please bring your own reusable shopping bags; a very limited supply of plastic bags or boxes may be available.
If you need food more urgently please visit thefoodbank.ca/vitalservice or call 519-743-5576 ext. 340.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, used clothing distribution is suspended until further notice.
