Who we Support
Glencairn Church knows that God's Kingdom is much bigger than our own little church. The expansion of God's Kingdom both by telling others the Good News of Jesus Christ and simply by loving others as Jesus would have loved them is very important to us.

Through our Missions Team, Glencairn presently supports two long-term missionaries overseas. Ken & Cheryl Creech are working with Wycliffe Bible translators in Dakar, Senegal. Ken & Cheryl along with their three children are in their second term serving in Senegal. Check back often for updates from Ken & Cheryl.

We also send many of our members overseas on short-term trips ranging from one week to one month. In places such as Equador, Spain, Mongolia, Montreal (yes, we know this isn't overseas), and others, our members have engaged in building projects, medical relief, and telling people about the love of Jesus. Our church is closely affiliated with both the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) and Mennonite Brethren Mission and Services International (MBMSI).

Along with other Ontario Mennonite Brethren, Glencairn Church is also heavily involved with Camp Crossroads. Each year many people from Glencairn volunteer as camp staff (cabin leaders, kitchen, support staff, and more), serve on the board, help with camp work days, and of course send their children to the incredible summer camps and programs that are offered. Visit Camp Crossroads to find out more.

Closer to home through our Bridges Centre we engage in providing emergency food relief to members of our city who, for whatever reason, cannot do so for themselves. Our members also engage in volunteerism with The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, Samaritan's Purse & Operation Christmas Child, Oasis Drop-in Centre, and Out of the Cold Programs.
